Photography has always served as my primary artistic medium for visual expression. My work has sought to explore the intrinsic beauty of primal landscapes and the intimate connection between the human body and forms found in natural environments. I seek to reveal this vital connection though self portraits, portraits, landscapes, and studies of found objects. After a long hiatus, I am immersing myself in the deep waters of photography once again.
Photoblowup will serve as my conduit.
Note: The title of my blog is a nod to Michelangelo Antonioni's 1966 film Blowup, which offers a fascinating perspective on the photographic medium and profession in the context of popular culture.

ReplyDeleteWelcome the the blog world and back to photography. I hope your journey into the waters is a gratifying and successful one.
Comparing your 2006 and what I would guess is a more recent profile photo I see you now have a level horizon making the journey across the deep somewhat easier. 8-)
I look forward to checking back and seeing your progress.

D.L. Wood, thanks for the encouragement! ... and yeah, the horizon line is bit more level now. When I want to skew the horizon line, there's always the Polaroid format!
